We are aware that the government has begun to send letters to patients in the 65-69 age group (JCVI cohort 5) inviting them to book their Covid-19 vaccination.
We are receiving lots of phone calls from patients in this cohort asking to book their vaccination at the Newbury Racecourse Vaccination Centre.
The government has now instructed us to focus on inviting those aged 16-64 with certain underlying health conditions for their vaccination at the Newbury Racecourse (JCVI cohort 6).
If you are aged 65-69, the government will send you a letter to book at a mass vaccination centre or pharmacy site for your vaccination instead.
If you would rather go to the racecourse because of any accessibility issues or because that is your preference, please contact us by completing the Contact the Practice form.
Please can we ask that you do not phone us as this makes it difficult for patients who need to receive medical attention to get through.
Please note, however, we may not be able to offer you an appointment within the same timescales as you could get at a mass vaccination centre.
Thank you for your understanding
